Community Workshops
Meet with your friends, neighbors, and colleagues and share your ideas at the many community events planned throughout the next two years.
Throughout the process, the City will hold a series of interactive community workshops on topics of citywide importance. These meetings are an opportunity for the community to come together and actively discuss topics and details regarding the General Plan.
Community Workshop #1 - Visioning
The City held its first (virtual) General Plan Community Workshop on Thursday, April 29th. The workshop featured an overview of the General Plan Update process, a summary of existing conditions, and a round of small group visioning exercises.
You can also watch a recording of the meeting and read the slide deck using the links below.
Community Workshop #2 - Land Use Alternatives
The City held its second series of General Plan Community Workshops at the following dates and times:
Tuesday, August 30, 6:00–8:30 PM | In-Person at the Museum of Ventura County, 100 East Main Street
Thursday, September 1, 6:00–8:30 PM | Virtual over Zoom
At these workshops, the General Plan Team provided an overview of the land use alternatives, including the process of developing the alternatives. There were a variety of opportunities at both workshops for the public to ask questions and provide feedback on the land use alternatives. Under the Land Use Alternatives tab, please visit the Background Materials page for more background information on the alternatives and the Engagement Activities page for a summary of other engagement activities.
