General Plan Advisory Committee
The General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) is City Council-appointed advisory body composed of residents, business owners, educators, students, and other members of the Ventura community. Members of the community applied to become GPAC members between August and October 30, 2020. The City Council selected GPAC members in January 2021.
The primary role of the GPAC is to provide insight to the project team on how to address key issues and understand sensitive community needs, review and provide comments on work products, and help to build community support for and engagement with the General Plan process. The GPAC is an advisory body and will not make decisions or take actions on the GPU. GPAC meetings are open to the public to observe, comment, and participate in activities.
Meetings are held in person at City Hall in the Community Meeting Room (Room 202). All meetings follow ground rules established in the GPAC Bylaws.
